“1 Night 2 Days” Postpones Filming Trip to Los Angeles Due to MERS

While it was announced that the cast and crew of “1 Night 2 Days” will be flying to Los Angeles in June, recent reports reveal that they have pushed back the trip due to the MERS situation.

An affiliate of the program said, “It seems like they have postponed their special episode. They will go once the MERS situation calms down.”

This was supposed to be their first intercontinental trip in the eight years of “1 Night 2 Days.” This and multiple other programs, concerts, shows, etc. are also getting affected by the spreading of MERS.

Meanwhile, “1 Night 2 Days” airs every Sunday at 4:50 p.m. KST.

“1 Night, 2 Days” to Film in Los Angeles Next Month

“1 Night, 2 Days” to Film in Los Angeles Next Month

The cast of KBS2TV’s long-running variety show “1 Night, 2 Days” will be stopping by the United States next month!

Yoo Ho Jin, the producer of the show, revealed to TV Report, “We are set to leave for Los Angeles in mid-June, but have yet to decide on the itinerary of the trip. I believe everything will come together once we arrive in the United States.”

This upcoming visit to California will mark the first intercontinental trip in the eight-year history of “1 Night, 2 Days.” In the past, the show has paid short visits to nearby destinations in East Asia, such the Chinese side of Baekdu Mountain and Japan.

Regarding the filming schedule, the producer said, “As we are traveling to the United States, it is difficult to make it a one night trip. We will have to stay there for more than two days. I think we will know how much time we need once we actually go there.”

“1 Night, 2 Days” starring Kim Joo Hyuk, Kim Jun Ho, Defconn, Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Jong Min, and Jung Joon Young airs on Sundays.

It’s around dusk inside Chapman Plaza, a small, cobblestone-lined courtyard hidden from view in the approximate geographical center of Koreatown. By this time of day, most of the coffee houses, boutiques and hair salons that comprise the plaza’s daytime economy have closed. The parking lot has become a gridlock of Mercedes, Audis and the occasional Range Rover, with orange vest–clad valets darting in between cars. Twinkling LCD signs advertise things like two-for-one soju bottles and private karaoke rooms.

We are not here, however, for pitchers of pineapple soju or velvet-lined VIP booths. We are waiting for a table at the complex’s newest addition, a barbecue place called Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong, which opened about eight months ago.
